LG Viewty Reviews

LG Viewty
LG made up one of the first to take touchscreen technology to mainstream headphones, and it continues to rest during these laurels. With the LG Viewty Snap it aims to have made a no-frills feature headphone, which, as the call advises, objects the casual shutterbugs away there.

The LG Viewty Snap is mainly made of black or silver plastic with chrome-like surrounding band, it is very light and comfortable to hold. The screen is 3”, of the resistive type, with a fairly decent 240x400 pixels resolution. Colors are looking good, despite that it only supports 262 144 of them. Where it fails, though, is the screen responsiveness.

LG Smart GC900 Review

LG Smart GC900

Human beings wont to be a a good deal best localise two a long time ago. Whenever anything, we were younger and good-looking. There were no bad, badness matters like financial meltdowns and a credit line to get one of these better-looking 40-meter yachts saw about at hand. It was the time when the LG Viewty KU990 came out, a touch sensitive screen headphone equipt with powerful photographic camera delivering DivX video support.  The model managed to make it big and gained enviable popularity, although high quality wasn’t exactly on the list of its strengths. The LG Renoir KC910 appeared last year and looked like successor to the KU990 at first, but never really came even close to winning as much fame as the Viewty.

Samsung S7330 Reviews

Samsung S7330
We accept antecedently discussed the popular strategy to use the conception of a high-end phone for the production of a cheaper model of the same brand. Samsung’s L770 simulating the U700 Ultra 12.1  is a typical example of that. But now again, the Koreans have decided to use that trick and the result is S7330, resembling the Soul. The phone is equipped with a 3-megapixel camera, FM radio, microSD slot and a touch-sensitive navigational pad.

Since we have a prototype, we’ll make preview instead of a review and will not get into details. Expect our review as soon as we get a final unit.

Design:

The S7330’s design reminds us of the Soul, but it lacks style and class, which in the high-end model are achieved by the use of quality material. Although it looks metal, only the battery lid is made of that material and the rest is plastic. Nevertheless, the phone is quite massive and heavy.

Samsung Ultra S Reviews

Written By admin on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 | 12:34 AM

Samsung showcased many interesting handsets like the ecological Blue Earth, the musical BEAT DJ and BEAT DISC, the multimedia monster OMNIA HD and the projector-phone I7410. Of course, the line of phones did not end there. One of the new additions to the Ultra series, namely the Ultra S (S7350), also had its moments there. It does not pretend to compete with the UltraTOUCH for the first place in the manufacturer’s catalogue for 2009, but this doesn’t mean that it lacks the necessary features. Well, it might not enjoy the presence of a 2.8-inch touch-sensitive AMOLED display, or an 8-megapixel camera, but its appearance is definitely similar to the one of the flagship.

Design:

As we’ve mentioned, the design of the Ultra S very much resembles the one of the UltraTOUCH, but the lack of a touch-sensitive screen is accountable for some of the differences. Under the 2.6-inch WQVGA screen you will find the two standard soft keys, along with the send and end ones, which are not protruding at all. The UltraTOUCH’s rhomb-like back button is replaced by a rectangular d-pad.

Samsung S5600 Reviews

Samsung S5600
Samsung´s lead designer’s wife must have said to him all in one breath … and here we go, we are swimming in these. Coming in all shapes, forms and sizes imaginable, with or without hardware keyboards, smart or not that sharp… what they all have in common is a price tag that not anyone can afford. The harbinger of things to come, the very first “budget” touchscreen phone to have ever hit the shelves was the sweetly named Cookie by LG. Following suit, the other Korean phone manufacturer was soon to jump on the bandwagon and sink teeth in what was to become quite a lucrative market niche, coming out with not just one but two phones at a fell swoop - the S5600 and the S5230.

Design:

If you think the S5600 is about to change your views regarding outlook or visual aspects of a phone with a huge touch-screen, well, you are bound to be sorely disappointed. Something tells us that until a technology allowing you to bend and fold the touch-screen has sprung into being to crank up the mainstream market, all touch-screen phones but will remain cast in the same mold. The big 2.8 inch QVGA resolution touch-screen takes up the entire front side of the phone with the send and end keys that lack their specific red/green color located right below. The big button in the middle allows you to go a level back in the interface menus while keeping it pressed for a short time calls up an alphabetical list of shortcuts. What holds the attention is design here, the device is quite small and neat looking alongside of the OMNIA HD (now that´s what we call huge), quite handy and easy to use in one hand. Its back side feels rough and a bit rugged to the touch.

Samsung I7110 Reviews

Samsung I7110
The Samsung I7110 is yet another smartphone that promises to offer the users some decent multimedia capabilities.Specs-wise it is similar to the Samsung INNOV8; it features GPS, Wi-Fi and Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 operating system. In contrast, it isn’t a slider, lacks an abundant amount of built-in memory, and the camera utilizes the more modest 5-megapixels.

Samsung UltraTOUCH Reviews

Samsung UltraTOUCH
You certainly remember that one of these was the Samsung UltraTOUCH, which is going to be the new high-end model in the manufacturer’s Ultra series. Being an Ultra series phone means that it will bring together the positive sides of other more narrowly developed devices and put everything in a nice and good-looking body, making it easily acceptable by the common user. The UltraTOUCH will be Samsung’s flagship model in the course of 2009, as it combines several key features. To begin with, it sports a 2.8-inch touch-sensitive display which allows it to take advantage of the latest TouchWiz user interface and a rich number of widgets, automatically turning it into an adequate modern device. On the other hand, it is also equipped with an up-to-date 8-megapixel camera. You would say it is a real cameraphone?! Not exactly. In addition, it has a really slim and attractive body, along with a numeric keypad, designed to turn heads from the ground up. Still, its various features and capabilities would not let us refer to it as just a fashion accessory. So what exactly is the UltraTOUCH? In our view, it is a multifunctional - all-purpose - high-end device, designed to satisfy the pretentious needs of a widest range of users, while still being a phone in the first place.

Design:

The Samsung UltraTOUCH succeeds the Soul, but in contrast to it, the navigation touch display is no longer present, freeing some space for the larger 2.8-inch touch-sensitive screen. Right below it there are just a few buttons – the send and end ones and the unique-looking back button, which on our prototype does not feature a “back arrow”. However, it still introduces the unique rhomb-like shape with a metal frame.

HTC P3300 Reviews

Written By admin on Monday, July 26, 2010 | 6:52 PM

HTC P3300
This brand is not very popular yet among the people who are not deeply interested in the highest phone class since its products have been offered for years under the names of other brands and carriers only, including Cingular, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. Among the brands whose lines have been entirely built on HTC phones are i-mate and Qtek.

Expanding its business, HTC now offer quite different models of PocketPC Phones and Smartphones (the two lines of Windows Mobile OS) which results in devices with different purpose. The Pocket PC system is no longer defined as a high-functional business phone only – there are various PPC Phones for various needs. Here we deal with HTC P3300 Artemis only – this is one of the smallest and lightest models including both a mobile LAN (WiFi) and navigation by means of GPS (with inbuilt SirfStar III chip) and an FM radio. These are the three features which, combined in one, distinguish Artemis from the other HTC models and differentiate it in its own class, with P3300 being the first HTC in it with no predecessor. Its direct competitor is Eten X500, another Taiwanese PocketPC phone tested by us earlier. It has an built-in radio, wifi and GPS, too.

HTC S710 Reviews

HTC S710
In 2005 the company introduced the side-sliding mechanism which allows you to use a large and handy QWERTY hardware keyboard and which does not affect the size too much. After putting this idea into practice in several Pocket PC mobile phones, it was about time a Smartphone without touch screen, but using the same keyboard, to be presented – so HTC Vox came forward – numbered as S710. Announced in 2007, Vox is one of the first models, offered by the company, running Windows Mobile 6 Standard.

The Smartphone comes in a nice box and the standard delivery package includes:

HTC Touch Reviews

HTC Touch
This is both natural and easy and seems really cool which makes it a new model to be followed by the other manufacturers. We saw a variation on this subject by Neonode at 3GSM event even in February. To use their model you have to know some movements which, performed at the right spot on the display perform actions such as ‘open menu’, ‘step back’ and the like.

On June 5, 24 days before the expected launch of iPhone, HTC announced their model including similar movements to help navigation and will try to attract part of the interest in the first Apple phone to itself. Its very name – ‘Touch’, indicates the innovation of this model compared to the other – the new way in which the Touch screen of Windows Mobile devices, known to us for years, is used.

The standard HTC phone set includes:

    * Phone
    * Battery charging device
    * MiniUSB cable
    * Stereo earpieces
    * Case

Untypically for the maker, however, the carrying case is not a leather one to put on your belt and stay there when you take out the phone, but the idea is to carry it in your pocket and take it out every time and then take the phone out of it. For us this is inconvenient and we prefer to carry the phone, which is certainly not of the smallest ones, hung on the belt.

HTC TyTN II Reviews

HTC TyTN II
The revolutionary HTC offered large for that time display (2.8 inches QVGA) and small enough body, but still big QWERTY keyboard thanks to the fact it was sliding from the side, instead of vertically as a normal slider. This form-factor became popular quickly and many other manufacturers started using it, now being a common thing. We’ve seen it in various WM phones (ETEN, Toshiba, Asus) and in other devices like the Helio Ocean and the Samsung F700. It proved to be a success; it is not a key feature anymore.

What we have here is the HTC TyTN II, or the Kaiser as it was known before the official announcement. This is the successor of the TyTN (which replaces the Wizard) bringing resemblance in the design, but moving the form-factor to the next level. After the upper part slides and the keyboard is revealed, the Display tweaks at an angle and gives a laptop-like view, which makes it more comfortable to use.

As functionality, the TyTN II is very similar to the first TyTN with all the bells and whistles of the WM6 Professional OS, but it adds GPS chip for Navigation – the only thing that the predecessor lacked. The TYTN II is the first phone to offer TouchFlo, after the original HTC Touch. This shows that the software will be offered in more than one model in the HTC family of devices.

Samsung OmniaPRO B7610 Reviews

An increasing number of manufacturers are shifting their focus to more intuitive interface and appealing design. And the Samsung OmniaPRO B7610 is an attempt at the very same things – enjoyable overall look and improved usability. Just like the Omnia II, it is a Windows phone personalized with Samsung´s TouchWiz 2.0 interface. Initially, the cell phone rolled out running Windows Mobile 6.1, but the manufacturer released a software update to version 6.5, plus recent units get cranked out featuring the latest OS edition. The Samsung OmniaPRO B7610 is a side-sliding device that sports full QWERTY keyboard, 3.5-inch high-resolution, touch-sensitive screen utilizing AMOLED technology, 5-megapixel camera with double LED flash, DivX and Xvid support, 800MHz processor and the mandatory (for all high-end devices) Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS etc. Samsung´s handset does have a lot to offer to people on the lookout for rich functionality and throws the gauntlet to the HTC Touch Pro2, its major and fiercest rival.

Samsung S5560 Reviews

Now, at the end of 2009 they are a dime a dozen and there are even entry level handsets equipped with such a display. Some manufacturers (mostly Samsung and LG really) have taken it to heart to offer at least one handset with touchscreen in every single product class of their cell phone catalogues and the compact Samsung S5560  (also known as Marvel) owns its existence to the this particular policy – it´s a mainstream device that offers more extra features than the popular Samsung Star S5230, but is inferior to the capable Jet S8000. It´s equipped with 5-megapixel camera, 3-inch display and Wi-Fi, but lacks 3G connectivity.

Similarly to all latest Samsung´s handsets with touch-sensitive screens, the S5560 sports three handy buttons on its front – send and end keys and an oddly shaped button that gets you a step back into menus. The 3-inch WQVGA resolution screen above them offers pleasing image quality indoors, although it turns into a proper mirror in direct sunlight and gets uncomfortable to use. It has decent overall sensitivity for a resistive display, but it´s definitely below par alongside of the Samsung Jet S8000.

Samsung OmniaPRO B7330 Reviews

Upon opening the box to the Samsung OmniaPRO B7330  we are presented with a phone of extremely slick industrial design. The B7330 packs a surprisingly large 2.6” 320x320 display into its tiny frame and this sits above a nicely curved full QWERTY keyboard which is reminiscent of a shrunken down BlackBerry Bold  layout. Pleasantly, the handset measures a thickness of under 11mm, a svelte full portrait QWERTY device festooned in glossy black plastic. The device is compact and, despite the inevitable fingerprint marks, attractive.

Samsung Diva S7070 Reviews

That was more or less what we thought when we first got our hands on the two cell phones of the Diva 2010 collection, the Samsung Diva S7070 and Samsung Diva folder S5150. How come? Well, it´s incredibly hard for a man to pass judgment on a handset designed with women in mind and sadly, there are few ladies on our team. That´s why we decided to call in help and sought the assistance of girlfriends, wives and the chick on the front cover of the last FHM issue. Unfortunately, this didn’t help much really, because the question “which of these two cell phones you´d prefer” led to a draw, with exactly the same number of votes going to either handset.

HTC Touch Pro mobile Review

Written By admin on Saturday, July 24, 2010 | 5:16 PM

This name clearly indicates that we're dealing with a sophisticated device, the Touch Pro in've created to work, with the functionality and technology touch diamond, but added a few specifications, sports a hardware QWERTY and bigger of course. It is the successor of the Tilt and the target audience depends on a QWERTY. He very box shows the desire of the leading Windows Mobile manufacturer to raise the bar even higher. It reminds us of a diamond, it’s made of quality materials and houses classy accessories.
The package includes:

    * HTC Touch Diamond
    * Leather case
    * Headphones/handsfree
    * miniUSB cable
    * Charger (only used with the cable)
    * Spare stylus
    * Screen protector
The charger, handsfree and cable have a glossy surface and fit the new image of the HTC phones. When you plug in the charger, a small HTC logo will light up, reminding you of the manufacturer.We are not happy however, that the leather case made to protect the phone cannot be attached to a belt. Since we consider this a large device, we think that the most appropriate way to carry it would have been exactly this. Apparently, HTC had something else in mind.

HTC X7510 Reviews

Written By admin on Friday, July 23, 2010 | 5:46 PM

we think this is a phone that's weird because it's unique designs, regardless of the phone is equipped with GSM/3G modules and become the product of the leaders in this class, the HTC Advantage X7510 more of an assistant to "mobile". We say mobile, and not the pocket, because as device dimensions, you will at least need a small bag to carry it. This is the second generation from the series, but the overall idea and realizations are almost the same as in the first in the line, X7500. You have a 5-inch touch sensitive display, an additional hardware QWERTY keyboard (there is a physical connection), Windows Mobile Professional OS and 16GB of storage space.

To make a call you can either the loudspeaker, the wire stereo handsfree included in the package or a Bluetooth accessory. The standard phone speaker and a microphone, which allow private conversations, are not present here, hinting that X7510’s purpose is not to be a main phone, but an additional mobile internet device.

The package includes:
HTC X7510 Advantage Review    HTC X7510 Advantage Review

    * Advantage X7510
    * Keyboard
    * Leather poach
    * Regular wire handsfree
    * Adapter with a TV/monitor output and a regular USB slot
    * miniUSB cable
    * Charger
    * Spare stylus
    * all-fitting case

The case is convenient for long trips, but it has not been designed to hold the Advantage when used daily. If you carry the main part with the keyboard, you should attach them to the leather case and put it in your bag. One side of the case, which opens like a book, houses the main module and the other the keyboard. This helps for easily attaching (via magnet) both parts together once the case is open.

Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500

Samsung i5500 Smartphone Corby, also known as Samsung Galaxy 5 had the look almost the same as the previous Corby. But the phones are the greatest among other Corby because the operating system loaded with sophisticated and faster processor. The Android platform has gained an overwhelming popularity that certainly motivates manufacturers to stay on target and keep us occupied with new models regularly. Doubtlessly, the world’s leading company on this market is HTC, but there are quite a few well-known players fighting on the same mat. At least at the time being, the number of affordable Android handsets remains quite limited though - perhaps the most famous of them all is the HTC Tattoo, although other manufacturers appear to be zeroing in on the same target. Samsung has just become one of the notable runners-up with the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500 – an entry level Android-based device with design that follows in the footsteps (and has acquired part of the charm) of the Corby series.

The Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500 is not that dissimilar from its rivals in terms of specifications, say the HTC Tattoo and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini. The device is equipped with 2.8-inch capacitive screen with QVGA resolution, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, 2-megapixel camera without flash, 3.5mm jack, microUSB port and microSD expansion card slot. The more interesting thing, however, is that the affordable cell phone runs Android 2.1. What we have in our hands is an early prototype of the Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500 and its software is not particularly stable, but still, it runs just good enough to allow us to get a sneak peek at what the handset is going to be. Are you ready? Buckle up and… let’s take off!

Samsung B7722 Reviews

Written By admin on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 | 7:59 PM

After success with the Samsung B2700, Samsung relaunched the Samsung B7722, this phone is perfect nautical those who like to use two networks or two SIM cards from the same operator simultaneously on a brand name handset.

he ability to change cellular subscription lines with the touch of a button on a phone with a comparatively generous 3.2” touchscreen makes it quite a novel handset. Samsung has decided that this is enough of a distinction in the overcrowded cell phone market, and has conceived the B7722 as a feature phone instead of providing it with an operating system. Let's explore the features then!

Garmin Asus Garminfone Review

Garmin Asus smartphone Asus launches re-Asus Garminfone, after having failed at the first launch into the U.S. smartphone world as Garmin Nuvifone handset for AT & T G60. It's hard to look back and wonder if that phone was truly considered a smartphone as it didn't offer any of the big name mobile operating platforms, but instead opted to offer its own unique spin with its Linux based platform. T-Mobile has its hands on the second offering as the Garmin-Asus Garminfone is looking to catch a ride on the Android wagon and its growing surge in use among consumers. Always supplanting itself as a top tiered GPS manufacturer, the Garminfone will need to excel over its sour beginnings if it intends on being a force in the smartphone world as it's already crowded with a mix of manufacturers trying to get their piece of the pie. There's already a lot at stake with this launch as this might ultimately prove if Garmin will have a place in this competitive market or just stick to what they do best – making standalone GPS devices which is looking to become a dying business.

Samsung Wave S8500 Reviews

Samsung Wave S8500Samsung's first bada phone - the Samsung Wave S8500 - is finally here. A few months ago we reviewed a prototype unit, which left us with rather high expectations for the final product. Now that it's here, we are ready to see what Samsung's latest and greatest creation has to offer. Being a full-featured mobile platform however, bada will inevitably face some pretty strong competition in the form of BlackBerry, webOS, Android and iPhone OS. Or will it? According to Samsung, bada is the easy to use type of OS, which will combine the greatness of having rich 3rd-party apps with a user-friendly interface that would appeal to every average Joe out there. So bada is not that much of an opponent to BlackBerry and Windows Phone, than it is to the iPhone, webOS and Android. Congrats, Samsung, you just painted some really tough future for yourself.

The manufacturer's vision is well-represented by its slogan "smartphone for everyone". Well, a bada smartphone for everyone is no doubt what every Samsung executive envisions, but as of now this is surely more of a dream than it is a reality. The question is if, eventually, some day, the bada-based smartphones would really become a part of the general customer's life, similarly to the iPhone now.

Taiwanese video explains the iPhone 4

Written By admin on Monday, July 19, 2010 | 5:34 PM

Taiwanese video explains the iPhone 4Leave it to the Taiwanese to explain things when it comes to why the iPhone 4 is having reception issues, so here is a video that lays it all out. In a land far, far away, there was a line of people waiting for the next iPhone to be released. Jobs and Gates fight it out Star Wars style, with Jobs winning and taking the Darth Vader helmet. Then Jason Chen's apartment is invaded to capture the missing iPhone, while production is cranked up in China with workers jumping off the roof. Once the iPhone 4 goes on sale with the AT&T ball and chain around your leg, Jobs can't help but laugh. But when someone points out the reception problem when it's held in your hand, Jobs responds by cutting off the person's fingers. Be sure to watch the video to see how things end!
